Firstly you will be asked to complete an enquiry form with some information on the items you wish to sell. Please familiarise yourself with what we accept to gain an understanding of the items that can be sold through Accentuate Preloved.

Once your completed enquiry form has been reviewed we will be in touch to discuss the items that can be promoted and agree appropriate prices.

For clients based in Leigh-on-Sea & surrounding areas of Essex (within a 3 mile radius of Leigh-on-Sea) free collection can be arranged on request. For other parts of the UK, courier collection can be arranged (cost deducted from sale proceeds).

There is a simple, tiered pricing structure.

For items upto with a sale price upto £100, you will receive 50% of the sale proceeds.

For items priced over £100, you will receive 60% of the sale proceeds.

Sale proceeds are transferred direct to the bank account details provided on the first Monday of each month.

In the main, we concentrate on premium high street, affordable luxury and designer brands. We tend to avoid high street fast fashion brands (e.g H&M, Zara) unless the piece is limited edition or part of a ‘Stylist Drop’ stylist collaboration.

Here are examples of just a few brands within each category. If you have items and are not sure, please do get in touch - we’d love to hear from you.

Premium high street: Arket, COS, Whistles, All Saints, Jigsaw etc.

Affordable luxury: Maje, Sandro, Joseph, Ganni, Stine Goya, Rixo, Baum & Pferdgarten, Claudie Pierlot etc.

Designer: Isabel Marant, Max Mara, YSL, Miu Miu, Lanvin, Chloe etc.

We have most success selling items that we know will be attractive to our audience/following. Therefore, we review items being received to ensure that items can be styled and promoted to our audience for maximum success. If we decide not to accept a particular item, we’ll give suggestions of alternative platforms to try.

All items are listed within the Accentuate Preloved shop on www.accentuatelifeandstyle.com where they can be purchased. The items will then be listed on Instagram via the @accentuatepreloved page. Select items will then be further promoted on ‘style boards’ and ‘ways to wear’ posts within the @accentuate_lifeandstyle instagram account.

We would love to support people all over the UK selling their pre-loved items. Once you have contacted us and we have agreed prices, we can arrange a courier collection from a suitable collection point of your choice. We would ask that you ensure that the items are carefully folded and placed in a suitable mailing bag/box to avoid damage in transit. Hermes collection is a quick and cost effective way of transporting the items and the small fee (fees start from £3.50) will be deducted from your sale proceeds.

You are of course free to arrange delivery of items by other means.

On the enquiry form you will see that we ask you for the value you would like to achieve for your items. We use this as a starting point and then, with our knowledge and understanding of the pre-loved market, we will discuss and agree the final list price with you.

If, after 4 weeks of listing the items have not been purchased, we will be in touch to discuss whether reducing the price is the correct approach. Should the items still not sell after a total period of 10 weeks, we will give you the option to place the item into our Outlet section (these items are free for a donation to charity), sent direct to a local charity shop or returned to you (at your cost).

We would be more than happy to donate your sale proceeds to a charity of your choice and provide you with confirmation of the amount you have donated.

We accept…

• Brands. We will consider brands from high street to vintage and designer as long as the items are in good, sellable condition. We are looking primarily at the style and condition of a piece in order to re-sell. However we do believe that clothes that are well made (higher end high street, boutique brands, designer) last longer and therefore are more likely to achieve a successful sale pre-loved.

• Any high street pieces (H&M, Zara) will need to be barely worn or new with tags in order to achieve a pre-loved sale.. 


• Women’s clothing in good, sellable condition.


• Shoes, handbags and belts from premium high street or designer brands only. They must be in excellent condition.


• Clean, fresh items. We are not responsible for drying and cleaning items prior to sale, so please ensure any items are freshly laundered.


• Used items. We accept pre-loved items.


• NWT - We accept items that are New With Tags. Those items you may have purchased and never worn.


We do not accept…

• Stained items.

• Unwashed items.


• Items that with bobbles or that have signs fo heavy wear


• Items that are out of shape due to wear or washing


• Underwear


• Children’s clothing.

• Homewear 


• Sleepwear


• Sportswear


• Damaged items.


• Earrings


• Mens clothing
